HipCat Printery is pleased to announce the opening of the HipCat Gallery, a print dedicated space in Central Victoria located five minutes from Trentham in Newbury, Victoria. The gallery specialises in contemporary Australian artist print and printmakers.

OPENING: 5th May, 2018 at 3:00pm, 564 Blackwood Rd, Newbury on Trentham 3458 Vic.

Adhering to a strict code of professional conduct the Gallery will exhibit new talent as well as give a home to established artists who want an ethical, reliable & nurturing gallery space that will promote and sell their work.

The gallery is part of the HipCat Printery an artist access studio located five minutes from historic Trentham Victoria in the Womabt State Forest.

The Hipcat Printery specialises in artist editioning and runs classes and workshops on contemporary and traditional printmaking technique as well as teaching hand set type and traditional reproductive methods such as wood engraving, etching and lino/wood cut printing.

The HipCat Printery compliments spaces like the Australian Print Workshop in Gertrude Street, Collingwood, the Castlemaine Press community based print workshop in Castlemaine and Dianne Longleys, Agave Studio in Trentham by offering accessible resources to the numerous printmakers located in Central Victoria as well as Melbourne artists.

HipCat is a dedicated exhibition space for printmakers that caters to younger artists as well as established career artists and is essential for Central Victoria which has the largest concentrated population of professional printmakers in Australia.
